I purchased a Laptop from Curry's and qualified for there

"£10 cash for every goal England promotion"

To qualify you had to register within three days of purchase to which I did.

I had not heard any more so went to have a look at the terms and conditions and found the following:

How do I enter?

Purchase any TV or laptop £549 and over between Thursday 26th April and midnight on Wednesday 6th June. The purchase receipt (till receipt or purchase confirmation email) must be retained in order to enter and defines the date of your purchase.
Complete the Registration form available at http://www.cashforgoals.co.uk within 3 days of the date on which you purchase your TV or laptop (with the first day of this 3 day period being the date of your purchase).
A Confirmation email will be sent to you within 3 days of registration to the email address you supply when registering. To claim your cash payout you will need to click on the Claim button in this email between 2nd July 2012 and 29th July 2012.

I did not receive an email so went to my Virgin online email account where some junk emails get blocked only to find that they had emailed me on the 10th of May stating

Dear Adrian,
Thank you for entering the Currys and PC World Cash for Goals promotion

I'm sorry to inform you that your registration was unsuccessful due to invalid receipt details being entered. Please click on the link below to re-submit your receipt details and successfully complete your registration.
You must re-submit your details within 2 days of the date of this email. If you do not re-submit within this period your registration will be invalid.

For full terms and conditions click here

The date from receipt of the email has now passed so I can no longer take part in this promotion even though I submitted the correct information from the receipt.

Has anyone else had the same problem?

crafty although tbh your not gonna miss out on much with the likes of carroll, defoe, welbeck and rooney up front :p
#3
You're not missing much, I tried the world cup o2 one with £5 for every goal, not worth it.

You may get a tenner back then.
#5
I'd take it up with their head office, quite clearly an error on their part. Or did you do a typo? It is worth it even if its a tenner. Just think England 4-0 France would be a cracking start.
#6
Did you ever get this sorted out? I'm in the same boat
#7
I have called them about three times and they always say that they will call me back, but they never do. If they don't pay me they can have the laptop back as I have not used it and they have frustrated the contract that I entered into. The receipt number that I entered was also correct as they have confirmed the one that I entered and it is correct. I will call them again tomorrow to se what is happening.

Just received a call after opening a complaint, to say that I am after all in the competition, so will be getting some money back after all. The number I called if anyone else needs it is 01727 202119 and just ask for customer services about £10 cash for every goal England.

Hope this helps.

registered and still awaiting email???????

Have you chased them? If not give them a call, as they should sort it for you.
#23
I have registered in May, never received any emails. Just phoned customer services, who says that terms and conditions show that it was the claimant responsibility to chase an email by the end of the tournament. Question is, how do you chase something that you do not necessarily expect in the first place??!! They told me to sit back and relax, I was registered. Apparently it is all too late now, as the tournament had finished on Sunday!!!
Luckily I do have the screen printout from the original registration, which does NOT indicate any action needed!!! It says, you have registered and we will contact you... sit back and enjoy the football. So there is NO way I am letting this go... at the moment I am waiting for a call from a supervisor. If I have to take it to Trading Standards I will do it...

Szllvia,

If they have said you have registered, you will be fine. When you speak to them again, ask them to send you the email that you need to click on to finish your claim. This must be done between the 2nd July to the 29th of July.

Don't give up, it may take a few phone calls, but it is worth it for £50.

If you call 01727 202119 you will not get charged a fortune for the 0845 number.

Hope this helps?

Hi, I had No response at all via email. i submitted mine the day after i bought the laptop and extras over £1000 in total and no response. i contacted currys who would not help and then a response via email saying they would be in touch. 3 weeks ago.... nothing.
#26
Call them with the number on this thread and speak to the again.

It must be worth it for £50
#27
Still not got my cheque yet, but a couple of my weeks yet before I give them a call. Post here if you receive your cheque.
#28
hi adrian
no i didnt get my cheque yet..
#29
Argh can't find my email and didn't make a note of the whatever it said at the end of the registration. I have no idea which email I registered with :-(
#30
If you log onto your account you should see your order and then will know your email address.
#31
Which account do you mean? I didn't purchase the TV online if that is what you meant.
#32
Thanks for the help Adrian, called them up on the number above. I guessed the email address I would have used and they said my claim had been denied because the value of my TV was under £500 (£499.95)
I checked my receipt and I paid £599.97! So they must have some naughty errors on their system.

They have a department dealing with all of these claims at the moment so there may be a lot of us having problems.

They told me I would receive a call in 48 hours and they would transfer it into my account which should be nice :-D

Edit: I got a call back around 20 minutes later and my bank details taken :-)

Just 'phoned 01727 202119 to say that I haven't received my £50 cheque, 28 days after submitting claim. I was told that the cheques are being written now, and I should receive it on 8/9th August, we'll see. The old reply, "The cheques in the post."
