They'll need to take the old one away - it's like a rental service - if you don't have one you'll need to aquire one or pay a deposit to Calor.

Yes... why not:whistling:

You could just say you were sure you had one and you don't know where your husband has put it.
Who isn't in at the moment.:?

Usually they take away your old one so they can reuse it. But surely the delivery driver won't make a big deal that yours isn't there....
If you do pay the extra... then it means you would have had to anyway.... because everywhere asks for a refill bottle.
At least you have one then anyway
Good Luck

They wont leave you with one without taking one away. No chance.
It's about £50 to hire the first or AQUIRE one (local tip, skip, freecycle etc)

any old gypsy sites near you or check out any local dumping spots. even is you get a cylinder thats a different size you will still be able to swap it

I'd say if they're that strict.

As post above.... you could try Freecycle. ( But you could be waiting. Depends how fast you need it ).

If i were you i would go to a petrol garage and buy one. They are not that strict on you having one and half of them don't know about it anyway.

Most of the petrol garages sell bottled gas. ;-)

thanks for that , will have a look about , if no joy i will try and find one from some place.

I need a couple of 15kg ones , and calor want to charge 2 deposits on both of them so i dont fancy paying that as well as the gas.

Banson tool hire no longer charge deposit on bottled gas, just charge cost of 'refil' or so they told me when i rang them the other day making enquiries myself.
see if there's one local to you.

use this link to search for outlets local to you and give them a ring.

there was a small hardware store local to me as well that doesnt charge deposit either (only on small patiogas bottles, not on 15kg bottles) so amy be worth trying some of them as well.

Hi A-n-d-y,

Gas is Gas...
It doesn't matter who's name is on the bottle, the Gas inside is the same..

Historically I've always found calor to be more money plus you have the hassle or
expense of needing an exchange bottle and buying from places like B&Q will be
very expensive as will caravan accessory shops ..

I buy my gas from a local newsagent (not calor) and although I need to take an exchange
bottle he accepts any make as long as it is the same size..
As other people have said keep an eye out at the tip for empty bottles..

It will pay you to shop around as the costs can vary considerably..

Good luck in you Quest for cheap Gas

Think it's £30. We took a non Calor bottle to a Calor dealer and he wouldn't take it BUT he gave us a full one without having to pay the deposit just because we had a bottle to show, the old empty one we had to take to the tip
