lol can I just quickly tell you this........we know an old lady in her 80's who called today to say her two bar electric fire had one of the bars not working. I called an electrician who said to find out make model etc and how old. Her reply.................well my mother gave it to me when I got married.......64 years ago X) Needless to say we have bought her a brand new one for her Christmas!!

I am sure there are things in that Argos catalogue that will outlive things in their current one!

I still have the animal print bed spread as per page 190 (except mine has dogs on). Its actually the cover on the fold up bed which is behind me as I type. Also still got a 'game & watch' as per page 228. I can't believe it was actually so long ago that this stuff was in the shops.

did someone actually scan the whole catalogue oO they have my spectrum on there, my 1st computer, actually a zx81 was my 1st one then a speccy. I'd love to have a few of those hand-held games now.

I still have my Major Morgan (and I am sure it was nothing to do with Ann Summers in those days - lol!). I always wanted a little professor but was never allowed one - isn't that sad!
#16
michellemoo- my sis had that same barbie- i remember my mum saying it was very expensive!

still have my speak and spell- red one. though its hard to understand what the 'man' in it says sometimes often resulting in misspelling the blimmin word

LOL I have the snoopy tennis game and watch in my drawer at the side of me now that still gets used, worth more today than it was new! Not many Nintendos can claim that, the donkey kong was more popular so worth less, mine cost 20p on a car boot about 3 years ago.

1986 catalogue is here. Just had a look through and there's so many toys in it that I would have had for Xmas when I was five............ just shown it to my five year old though, and he gave a look of disgust to most of them X)

Oh, there's also a 1976 catalogue for the oldies.
