1st time being puuled over by police

Was out with a few mates this evening on our motorbikes/peds and we had pulled over for a few to catch up. we set off again and 2 off us pulled over. As we pulled over a police car pulled over. The rest went on ahead but the policeman got out and check me and my friends docs. I gave him all of mine checked it and it was fine (didnt say anything about my...irregular numberplate :-). My friend though, it was his first day on the road and it came up with no insurance. So he has to go into local nick with his certificate when he gets it...i thort i just let you know :-D

#2
I actually like being pulled lol makes you feel special :-D plus i like police. My friend that carried on only had one mirror and his rear l plate snapped lol would be 6 points lol
#3
I respect the police and the job that they do, just not when it involves me :)

6 points = licence revoked if he's on a provisional.

I also don't know why you find it funny that his bike isn't road worthy.

you know what they do with pretty boys like you in jail...

Did your friend enjoy his walk home when they confiscated his moped? :-D

Wrong!!! Even then they still think it's big and clever and makes them think they are double hard then.

I actually hate the gangs of people like you on mopeds and motorbikes. Scooting along in the middle of the road so you can all be next to each other in your little gang. GRRRR.

Indeed. Half of them don't even know what half of the signposts mean.

Remember, you are just a number :-(

What do police do when they 'puuled' you? :o

Another classic HUKD thread.

make sure your'mate' takes his insurance etc in within 7 days or else he'll be getting a summons to go court!! he'll also be in the stew if his insurance cover started even 1 minute after he got 'puuled'......;)

remember boys, it aint big, and it aint clever to go on the roads on unfit bikes...and it might not be someone else who's life you take - it may be your own. think about it.

My son got stopped on his motorbike by the police because they wanted to congratulate him on his safe & considerate riding. Still, with the number of deaths we have every year around where we live (Brecon Beacons) it probably made a nice change for them to see someone on a bike being sensible.
#18
I wouldn't worry about it sam... I've been pulled over by the Police 3 times and got away it with everytime!

1. Speeding - going 50mph in a 40mph - Police Motorway speed car
2. Cutting up a police car at about 11pm - Police Panda Car.
3. Going through a red light (it was changing and I swear it was on amber) - that was two police motorcross bikes which pulled me over!!

I have had the blue flashing lights every time!!! but no points or convictions!

you a lucky man lol. I wasnt ...encouraging my friend to go on the road with a unfit bike its just it only feel of that day and he is getting it fixed. I am a sensible driver (keeping a 2 second distance between me and the person in front, driving the speed limits (maybe 2/3mph over the speed limit [10%])

I agree about the road signs. Few of my mates dont know what half of them are! I luckily have been well educated by my parent about roads by asking them questions about signs when i was younger etc. I normally keep away from other ped drivers as they are t*ats. I normally ride with the scrambler boys lol they are much safer.

Going back to ped drivers nearly touching your bumper...i often get car drivers pushing me along when i am keeping to the speed limits!

I am glad police pull peds over. The main reason they do it is to see if the peds nicked. So if mine was to get nicked, then police would probs to a normal stop and find it. Oh and...my bike doesnt look like a ped :-D

I wouldn't worry too much about old fogeys on this board ranting about the youngsters not knowing what road signs mean! When half of that lot passed their "tests" you still needed a "chap" with a flag leading the car!
#23
And welcome to the world of two wheeled motorised transport where you are criminalised just for wanting to be different!
[mod]#24
Did you know that only 1 out of every 100 vehicles on the road are motorbikes etc but they account for 1 in 5 road deaths............that's rubbish odds. lol

And that for every 100 cars, there are 200 tyres on a motorbike :?

And over 85% of those deaths are caused by car drivers! Rubbish drivers safe in their little tin boxes who don't really have to care about other road users wellbeing!

Don't get me started!:x

I have lost 2 close friends to mototrbike accidents, both going too fast, neither involving other vehicles. I have another friend who is severely disabled following a similar crash, and he admits to it being his fault.
All my brothers ride motorbikes and drive cars.
There are good and bad in all manner of drivers, wether car or bike.

Shouldnt be allowed on the road, well...let me re-phrase that......the CBT course you have to take to be able to ride these things on the road is a disgrace, i did it years ago and all we did was ride with an instructor for 5 mins then stopped for him to have a fag and tell some stories....... and repeat for an hour or so. He has the final say wether someone has passed the course or not, so basically as long as you dont fall off you are sorted, you would have to be a serious mong to fail this test. Result is hoardes of 17 year olds on whiney mopeds who cant ride properly. Should be a proper test for this as the CBT is a joke , a non rider can go from never ridden to road legal in less that 2hrs......bit dangerous to me that!!

Oh once you have paid your CBT fee you can take the course as many times as you like if you did manage to fail.... so obviously its in these places best interests to just get you through 1st time to save them money!
#30
I did the CBT last year before I passed my full bike test, we were out for a FULL 5 HOURS !!

There were 3 of us on bikes, and a total noob on a scooter who didnt have a clue, so we had to stay out with him until he understood how to ride on the road !

The instructor did tell us a story though of a young lad on a scooter, taking his CBT. As they approached the roundabout............he went the wrong way around it !!!!!!!!!!
#31
Yea, lets tar all young people with mopeds with the same brush!

When were at it, all immigrants must be here to steal from us and all football fans are raving hooligans intent on beating up old women.

Have had a moped for 3 years, one got stolen from the back of my house. I have never had a crash on it, never been pulled over by the police. All i use it for is college to save on bus fares. :x
#32
there was a bloke at my CBT place who was 23 had been riding without a license/insurance etc for 3 years, his mum was an inspector ad she had told him to go and do his CBT. He was SO RUBBISH AT DRIVING!

But in October everything is changing. The CBT will b changing to 1 year! will be harder i think and you will have to travel far for test places!
#33
Yep.

They are making it much harder & much more expensive to get a bike license (so all the gimps will be driving around on bikes with no license or insurance............)

Aye, I'm doing the same as you mate, They've attempted to steal mine twice, failed both times so far..first time, little damage done, second time, i caught em doing it and scared em off. Don't see why you are all hating on moped users, they are cheap, easy and don't congest the road...Not everyone who uses them are idiots, but rant away...

I believe it was t0mm who mentioned road signs.

But as you brought up age you must be a bit touchy about it, approaching pensionable age are we?:whistling:

I'm just going to squeeze into my skin tight leathers and fire up the 'ped to annoy a few of our older members!
