I understand that you are trying to save people money but let's be honest for some that's not always the issue. For example i shop at waitrose because i like the customer service and products and can afford it

I would recommend buying something for the summer, especially so soon after christmas, perhaps a climbing frame or sandpit.
If you want a little tikes kitchen check these ones out http://www.adventuretoys.co.uk/special.asp This is a fantastic site. All the parts are there (if not they will send the free of charge) it's just that the box is a bit battered. Little tikes kitchens start a £40, that is the same one a bought my daughter for her first birthday. There are no little bits and she loves it.
Have you got a dolls house? The ones in ELC are great and my 19 month old loves it.

you are hardly gonna get great customer service and customer aftercare from a online shop are you?

i disagree...i had brilliant aftercare from bigpockets-and recently Bissel-and little tikes is excellent even years after you have bought an item they will replace parts most free!! (no matter where sourced!)

Fair point louloo.
I just thought this site was about getting the best deals for your money. If you get the whole package ie great customer service, aftercare and a price thats say £30 cheaper than another site who offers exactly the same why would you wanna pay the higher price just because your own snobbery and pride got in your way like it does for some.

i think a bettered box on a childs toy is little fault as you are unlikely to keep a box-i have kept details of the adventure toys as i would buy knowing tikes direct offer great cust service(no experience of adventure toys)

Be careful op what you buy when she is 2 as you will have to better it when she is older...i would get smaller items which are fun-games to increase her word power-my son loved pop-up pirate etc....and give her a treat of taking her somewhere special (maybe even a family ge-together) Speaking from experience she will recall this more than a plastic kitchen...

I have had nothing but fantstic service from adventure toys! They are a large shop based up North and apparently have even better bargains in store. They get their stock from catalogue returns etc and will always tell you exactly what is wrong if you phone up.
My kitchen was missing a blue spoon I phoned up and they sent it the next day. Like I said the box was battered and that was it.
Just because you buy online doesn't mean you have poor customer service, there is a landline telephone number and you go straight through to someone who can help you unlike large stores.

Get her a wheelybug, they're fab and my daughters have had them since they were 10months old and 3½yrs old, almost 4 years later they are still the most played with toys and our youngest is getting the next size up for her 4th birthday. After seeing ours, loads of our friends now have them for her kids and they wear really well, these are also the only toy that I plan to keep for the grandchildren as they are timeless. Great for mummys and daddys to use too, ignore the weight guidelines!!
