I've been to one before but also really enjoyed MPH with Jeremy Clarkson. Think i went to the one where they shot the car into the caravan! Classic! Lovely girls too LOL XD
#4
i phoned BMS up and asked about print at home tickets and they said they need card details too so your out of luck if you printed free ones
#5
Is this true? Does anyone else know about it? A lot of people are going to be disapointed if its true. :x
#6

im doing the thing with the Rail Service, 2 for 1 offer, print off tvoucher and then show them your rail ticket and you just pay standard ticket for 1 person for 2! this years gunna be brill!
#10
thanks jellybaby, they have the barcode so hopefully will be all good.
#11
yeh but if you look at the tickets, if you have more than 1 ticket that has the barcode on it (print at home tickets) if you look at the top right it says

card details

************1 or something on both tickets so if a legit barcode has been scanned it will be added to the database (where they find out how many visitors they have had) and then it wont let in the free ones as they have the same card ending number!!

Also if your ticket says "anyday" or something along those lines, if you look at the t&c's on the bottom it says valid on weekdays only, so cant use em on weekends
#12
Does anyone have any spare tickets? I'm after 3 for a few friends visiting from Australia
#13

have just got back from the motor show and can definitley confirm that they work , got 4 free tickets and after reading this this morning was a bit worried that may get there and not get in.

but they didnt even look at the tickets let alone scan them just checked 4 pieces of paper 4 people and in you go. :whistling:

if anyone is thinking of driving they had a £10 park and ride scheme operating opposite the airport with buses back to the Excel. So thats where all of those old routemaster busses went to

So where can you park your car?

Thanks :)

BTW, did you need to mention what code you used to get the free ticket?

Park near Custom House Docklands (DLR) Station - all the roads round there are free parking and you can easily walk to Excel through the station - hope this helps

Also, is the Honda Experience thing worth the £5 and time?
#27
I used my free tickets yesterday, no problems at all! Great show!
#28
obviously theres an age limit lol id be ripping the car if t here wasnt.

I went yesterday with a friend using the free tickets with no problem. Managed to bag a free Nissan GT-R poster and they were giving out free ice lollies (a necessity considering how hot it was yesterday). Well worth a visit and it is probably best to take a day off as there are so many cars to see

Anyway here are some of the pictures that I took - http:[email protected]/sets/
(I will add the rest later as I’ve exceeded my flickr account limit for this month).
I’m a bit annoyed at the fact that the battery on my camera went flat half way through the show and as a result I could not take any pictures of the more luxurious cars/supercars :x

In case you cant get parked in the streets the car park was marked up as Excel car park B and was sign posted when coming up to Excel from the east.

No I didnt need to say anything they just took the tickets and let me through.

On another thread someone said about the cost of the drinks £1.70 for a coke. it was cheaper to buy inside the Excel at £1.30 than the food places outside.

i didnt do the Mazda or Honda so cant comment on whether they where worth it. but the offical show guide was a good deal at £3 with loads of freebies
