horrible start - unwinnable games. horrible end - must-win games that we probably wont...

Chelsea's first three matches are West Brom, Wigan and Stoke. Not too bad, Robby coming home first day of the season and the type of game where we put 4-5 away should hopefully put us top on day one, but you never know with promoted teams.

Quite happy.:-D

Ooh, Man Utd v Chelsea 3rd to last game of the season and then we get Everton away and United get Blackpool at home.

Be nice to win the league at Old Trafford.

The first two games are tough, and the 3rd is a sticky one. West Brom may still be looking for their first win.

Liverpool - Arsenal and Spurs - Man City will keep Sky happy on day one:thumbsup:

First two are going to be a struggle. 3rd game shouldn't be too hard a game, but right now I'm not counting on any game to be easy.

Thats what I like, a supporter really looking forward to the season. :-)

Why is it a horrible start?

You have to play Chelsea away at some point, and this will give you a lot of publicity for the start of the season (and may help sell more season tickets).

It is better than a boring start like away to Wigan, home to Blackburn, away to Bolton for example.

It's an away game, it won;t help us sell any more tickets and I doubt Chelsea will be struggling for the cash...

You're right in that we have to play every team at some point but it would be nice to start a season without your first four away games being Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal & Man Utd!

If Torres goes to Chelsea I can't see anyone stopping them again IMO.

Nice last game for us.

Who knows if he will? The word is he wants Champions League football and a shot at trophies which means Man City are out of the picture however much they bid, so it's really down to Chelsea and Liverpool working something out.

I'd rather not see us pay silly money for a striker who is a little injury-prone when we could get someone like Pato or Aguero for less, who have less miles on the clock but still hold potential.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Torres staying at Liverpool.

I can't see him going to Chelsea in all honesty. Barca are rumoured to be preparing an offer of £30m + Ibrahimovic for him, which I'm sure the owners would be happier with - a decent replacement and £30m paid off the debt. If he doesn't go to Barca I think he'll stay for one more season.

Barcelona would have one hell of an attacking line-up then, but haven't a clue where he'd fit into it - they've played 4-3-3 for years, but can't see them leaving Torres or Villa on the bench (even though Spain do)

^^^ this, Barca is the onyl club i can see hom going to this year, id rather he stayed, but it would be stupid to turn down that offer, maybe they would even let us spend the 30m :w00t:
