Looking to on a holiday in 2010 during beginning of august, went to down to tenerife last year but looking to go some were more exotic this time around.. any good places you could recommend? There if 4 of us, and we got a budget of 500 max.

Not really into nightlife, but shopping, sports and restaurants is something we enjoy :)

It's a great place yes. It has a wonderful lagoon that is beautiful and warm.
Lots of nice restaurants there as well.
And if you are quite adventurous, its voted the best place in the world for Paragliding (you do it from a mountain and land on the beach)

If you wish to stay in Olu Deniz, then an apartment may be more expensive than surrounding areas, but it's worth searching first as my family managed to find an all-inclusive hotel with a pool etc right near the beach for £100 a week last October.
If it's quite high then i recommend you search either in Ovacik or Fethiye. Both are not far from Olu Deniz, around 20 minutes drive or less. and plenty of Dolmus's (small buses)
Feel free to ask me any questions as i know the area very well.

olu deniz is great, i would also recommend hisaronu, which is just a short dolmus ride away, so much to do and a beautiful country. and so much to do... or not!
I stayed here http://www.holidaylettings.co.uk/rentals/hisaronu/18482
and booked the flights seperatly, a beautiful apartment, the photos dont do it justice, well placed, everything is easy enough to get to.

If you like ancient ruins/history then there are two wonders of the world quite near to the area.
The Temple of Artemis in Ephesus, and the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus in Bodrum
And thousands upon thousands of other ruins in almost every town or city like Lycian rock tombs etc.
Also quite close is a river gorge called Saklikent Gorge which you can walk all the way through and is a great experience.
#11
i went to that gorge, absolutely beautiful, but is cost me money to get my flip flop back, when it floated off down river!

Lol, i think the local restaurants at the gorge offer fleshly caught fish from the river, which sounds great. And you can also drink the water that runs out of the mountains, which is fresh mineralised water, you can't any better than that in the world :-D

I suppose you would recommend the place where you filmed Lost, in Hawaii?

Turkey only has a few main tourist hotspots.
It is about the same size as UK and France put together so there are sooooooooo many places where you wont even see a single tourist.
So you are both wrong there.

I suppose BG1's dream holiday must be in the middle of the Congo then lol

Maybe you and BG need to read a dictionary

exotic [ɪgˈzɒtɪk]adj1. originating in a foreign country

Turkey is an exotic location if you don't have a lot of money. Other 'Exotic' locations for the poor include the canary islands, the Greek islands and Benidorm.

If you are not poor then an exotic location would probably be somewhere along the lines of The Maldives, Mauritius, the Caribbean etc...

Locations for the poor? A poor location would be a caravan park down the road from your house. I think what you mean is popular destinations. As far as visiting places in Europe these are some of the best.
#24
What about places outside of europe that don`t come around that expensive?
#25
We are going to the Lara beach Turkey in 2010 but have had some cheap great holidays in Tunisia for the past 2 years. Tunisia is a closed shop country(cant take currency in or bring it out) so the exchange rate is very good and shopping is cheap!

They are popular because they are cheap not because they are amazing destinations that everyone dreams of going too.

As fas as I'm aware, none of those places are in England.

Also, being only 15, surely it's your parents who decide where you go on holiday, not you.

Anywhere in Europe cannot be classed as exotic....save a bit more and try somewhere in SE Asia or South America

So Chicken Tikka Massala is what you would consider 'exotic'?

I once saw an exotic store selling something mysterious called 'Turkish Delight' - it was a magical shop called Esso.

I wasn't hating - I think it's good that kids use dictionaries to help with words they can't understand:thumbsup:

Well done sport.

I'm not mad, i actually find your posts funny as they are so stupid.
I don't go to the same place every year, the last time i went to Turkey was about 3 years ago, i have been on holiday many times since then.
