2010 money saving ideas..
Just wanted to continue on a discussion from work to here of how people are going to save money for this year.
This was a discussion amongst my staff at work when I walked in, and following are some ideas from some people:
1. Spend less on drinking.
2. Bring Lunch (sandwich) from home.
3. Down grade my mobile phone tariff.
Some of my ideas:
4. Spend less on clothes and shoes (make do with what I have).
5. Reduce unnecessary small household expenditure costs (newspapers, magazines, DVDs, etc)
6. Sell all the unwanted electrical items, previous mobile phones, unwanted books and DVDs on ebay.
What are your money saving ideas??

I totally agree, most unwanted stuff can become most wanted stuff for someone else

I am going to stay in bed for the rest of 2010.

I will just read the free newspaper that comes through my door and I will use it as toilet paper afterwards.

I will save electricity and gas this way :-D

This is what I would reccomend, spend some time working out where your money actually goes each month and also work out how you can reduce the amounts for example, insurance shop around for the best deal, same goes for utilities, mobiles phone deals etc hunt around and dont forget quidco and all the other cashback sites as this point they come very handy, not only will you save money on the premiums but get rewarded for changing over. in order to make more money the best motivation I found was to be when I read about risking taking as they say the more risks you take the more of a chance you have to make more money just look at the enterprenuers in the uk they all took risks to get to where they are now so come on people think positive and get out of this reccession.

You do realise that THAT man became an internet celebrity and people were effectively doing him a "favour" by trading with him.

If you honestly think we can all trade paperclips to million dollar houses you've got to wake up from your sleep.

I agree, you just need to look at the comparison sites and see how much you can save on your car insurance, home building and content insurance, gas and electric bills, etc.

But, not everyone can afford to take big risks (maybe small ones) as everyone has different situations, some have more responsibilities than others.

just to add, I have cancelled my gym membership which costs me £30 a month and I only used the gym maybe 12 times in 2009.

I'm going to go jogging more regularly and take up more sports for 2010.

All ready feel good and healthy.. lol
