Was watching the 250 ship flotilla on river clyde yesterday.
And saw some fish swimming near surface, pic in first post
Anyone know what they are

have seen them before, seem to swim in groups of three or four and feed near surface

thanks, you may be correct, thick lipped mullet, googled it and someone says there is good mullet fishing on the clyde

barbell are bottom feeders and don't cruise the top and carp dorsals are a lot further forward on their body dude definatley mullet

apparently mullet are best smoked, otherwise taste oily,

don't think I will try catching any, would be an easy meal as was loads
