this would be much more than you'd need as long as you're not on youtube or streaming tv

Depends on what you're doing. If you're steaming in HD about a hour. If not it'll last you the month without a problem. . .

I 'believe' that is eqivelant to around 6000 web pages.

Google says average web page size is now 320kb, by my calculations is that 3000 per Gb?

No need to switch off mobile data it should switch over to wifi automatically when your at home look for the 3 rounded lines on the display at the top when your connected to wifi

picked this of the net: source Gizmodo

Otherwise 2GB on a phone equals to
Sending/receiving 10,000 one-page text emails
and 1,500 one-page emails with an attachment,
viewing 4,000 Web pages,
uploading/downloading 500 photos to social media sites,
200 minutes of standard-quality video watching a month

use your wifi for downloading and you'll be alright.........if you're using Tmobile they add download + upload and wont let you use VOIP calls or Video playing plus other pain in the Ar rules

well it is easy to see (on my3) how much you are using which can be useful to keep track.

you my be surprised, if you open normal web pages rather than mobile versions of sites that usage does go up. With the iphone you dont have flash so this cuts down usage alot.

I used to have unlimited O2 account and was easily using well over 3gb but now this wouldnt be allowed with the limited data tarrifs so you are right to be mildly concerned
