3 offering me an upgrade iphone 4. Would you take it?

I've got 3 months left on my 3 contract and they have rang to say they will waive the 3 months and offer me:

Iphone 4 16gb
12 month contract
£259 upfront
and £32-£37 per month for 500 or £900 mins plus unlimited text and 1gb internet?

Pretty close to the tesco deal that i've been loooking at that's OOS.

Any thoughts? Would you bargain further with them???

Also whats a 3gs 16gb white worth in good condition (odd wear and tear but nothing major)

Thanks

It is a good deal

It is a short contract and they are waiving your remaining 3 months. Hopefully 9 months later they will offer you an even better deal with increased gb usage of internet

I usually use the Wifi at home work so i'm thinking i'd cope with the internet usage. Seems to be the same on tesco also.

Thanks for your input!

i have a no 4, id say dont bother the features are not that much of a difference, its more of a cosmetic upgrade, id try and hold off till the next one comes out

I wouldnt want to keep paying my contract after it's past it's term so i kind of figured selling my 3gs would fund the iphone 4?

Couldn't you try and get a bargain package from them and then sell your iphone + new phone to get an iphone 4?

I upgraded at the end of my contract with 3 a couple of months ago and got 1200 any net mins, 2000 landline mins, 3000 texts, 5000 3-3 calls, 1gb internet and a htc wildfire for £20 a month then sold the phone for £160ish.

Wow. Thats loads of minutes!!! I guess i can be cheeky and see if they will offer me more.

They did start with a 24 month contract but i persuaded them to offer me a 12 month one!

Mines a 24 month contract tho. I'd try and haggle with them but tbh the guy who gave me mine on the phone didn't play hard ball like most I've spoken to and just came out with "I'm no sales man here's the best offer on an android phone I can give you", they also offered me the same minutes for £26 a month but with the htc desire.

Also the 2 months difference between now and end of your contract I'd say would effect their offers to you.

Insist on an unlock of the old phone for free and you'll take them up on it.

Makes the phone much more saleable on FleaBay

You lot aint going to start one of them 'Apple/Android' wars are you?

I would say that it's a good deal if you like the phone (I do) but I would make sure the deal they're offering you is the deal you get. You know what they say.."If it sounds too good to be true" and all that!

Well thought out review of an iPhone, are you speaking from experience of one?

No

Guess you must have one though.

I think its worth trying to bargain more out of them, as someone earlier said, ask for an unlocked phone, or try and get a 32gb one from them. It can be done :)

If you are not successful, it does seem a good deal anyway.

oO so you are saying an iphone is rubbish evn though you have never actually owned one, so you are basing this on what?

yes i've got one, after owning many phones i would say the iphone is far from rubbish, one of the best phones on the market,

people like yourself like to knock them probably because they can't afford one. ;)

Htc desire
Samsung galaxy s

Of course its overpriced everything apple is. I like Sony stuff and yet I can admit I probably pay a fair bit more for the name. If you can't admit you do the same wit Apple products that I think you are deluded
