Corinthians Face-on Nike football shirt

Last week, at the Park St. George, director of marketing for Corinthians showed a type of shirt that will show the real face of the fans.

It will be used in the last round of Series B, November 29th, against America de Natal.

The white shirt will be filled with 400 photos of Corinthians fans in black & white pictures.

To have a photo on the shirt, supporters will have to pay around 320 GBP and only 400 spaces will be available.

Why were on the subject on football shirts;

There is a petition going around the internet regarding West Hams shirt sponsor, now before you think oh West Ham lol. What this is, is our shirt sponsor recently went bust so the club are looking for a new sponsor. What we want is the club not to agree a deal for a new sponsor instead we want them to display the Bobby Moore logo on the shirt for free.

In case you don't know Bobby Moore was one of England's best footballers ever, the gentleman who captained England to our World Cup win. He had a good career but during his playing career he battled against cancer. He eventually lost his fight against cancer at the age of 51.

Cancer Research UK then set up the Bobby Moore Fund to raise money for Bowel Cancer awareness. It's a successful charity and we do a sponsored run every year to raise money amongst other fund raising events

We the fans want West Ham to produce a shirt with the logo on instead of the traditional sponsor but to also go one step further and give a donation for every shirt sold featuring the new logo.

The petition is here It currently has 8733 signatures but we are hoping to reach 15,000 by 3PM tomorrow

So forget your allegiances for your team this is for a good cause regardless of who your support (in fact if you don't support West Ham it''s better as the club will be making less money)

That's a great idea RedIron!

I will add my signature to that petition and I think it would be a wonderful gesture if the club did indeed do that but in the world of football business, I think it would be highly unlikely as money means so much to them

My own team lost one of our legends recently as well in Tommy Burns and if my team did this then I know how great the fans would feel about it.

Will add my signature now.

Good luck!

Very good idea indeed Rediron but does the picture have to have that arrow on it? It somewhat takes away from what is already a well made logo. Signed

Just enlarged the pic and I now understand...

RedIron, duly signed..... Why not start a thread requesting people to sign? might get a better response.
Having had my large bowel removed along with a few other bits, I know only to well how important Bowel Cancer Awareness is.

Good luck. :thumbsup:

Cheers mate,

I know there isn't a great chance but West Ham are listening, they have already decided to temporarily replace the XL logo (our old sponsor) with the Bobby Moore logo on all of the interview back drops so it is at least something.

I know money usually talks but we're hoping that the club will see it like this;

1. Appoint new sponsor, receive £x millions. Then pay to replace the old shirts with the XL logo with the new shirts with the new sponsor or

2. Have the Bobby Moore logo on the shirt receive £0 but a great amount of good publicity. Plus a lot of fans who haven't bought the shirt this season will flock to buy it just because of the Bobby Moore logo. So they will make up a good whack of what the lost in sponsorship money in shirt sales. Plus the fans aren't too happy with the board at the moment but this gesture will go a long way towards repairing our faith in them.

I just looked up Tommy Burns by the way, the same as Bobby Moore he died at 51 of cancer. It's a shame how both legends died so relatively young but I suppose you can't argue they did have a good run and both achieved a lot in their careers.

Just signed aswell. Worthy cause and would be great if the club went through with this.

Too expensive as a lot of the people this is aimed at are going to be youths under 18 so a hell of a big strain on the parents !!

BBC Radio 5 live, Talksport and BBC Radio London have also done features on it. We're hoping that Sky Sports, The BBC etc will all run a full feature on it before tomorrows match. The Sun are looking into now with the aim of running an article in the paper tomorrow.

But then again it is a small price to pay for a piece of club history that will never be seen again.
