any reason Jayice why they want this style of camera. The digital ones are unbelievably cheap nowadays and great bargains out there. Plus a lot of money saved in the future on processing the films- though I used to love running down to shop to pick up my pictures!

You sure? a second hand 20D (pretty old) will still cost £180 odd

Lomo cameras are popular 35mm film cameras - check out ebay for :
Smena, Lomo, Cosmic, Symbol - they are Russian made and give good effects such as double exposures, saturated colours etc.
try these websites:

"proper" 35mm cameras (Zenit, Pentax & etc) go for little money too on ebay - but best to research the forums first

i got 3 2nd hand for under £20 each, complete kits with lenses, carry case etc
they were only an after thought on their lists, and are more like little xtras, if it had been main present, then DSLR it wud of been ;)
Amazing what ya can pick up without much looking on older stuff, all have autofocus powered lenses, telephotos, massive zoom lenses etc....
They all have pretty decent digicams already, One of them started photography and so now they all want a SLR!

some of the older lenses will work on newer DSLR's with the correct adaptor also
I have 3 old Carl Zeiss Lenses that I can mount on a Sony alpha and use the camera's on board IS.
The lenses cost circa £10 each
