360 2 red lights,

Hi All, As above my 360 has just given me the two red lights, spoke to microsoft who told me that this is not covered under 3 year warranty, if i call them back tomorrow and tell them it know has 3 lights will they actually know? has anyone else done this, would appreciate any help, feel like i.ve lost a limb, lol

it's unplugged now, will leave it until the morning and see what happens, i think it is unlikely to repair itself though as it unplugged every time we stop using it to stop it overheating.

don't let microsoft fob you off you've got 6yrs under UK law :thumbsup: 2yrs under EU law so they should honour at least one of the laws :p

force it to 3 red lights by over heating? plenty of instructions on the net

I had E74 error with 2 lights and fixed it with xclamp fix but went again after 8 months so gave up and bought another.

i'm not sure if it one or two red lights, but it means your cables aren't plugged in properly.

my box was just completely ****ed, so i gave it 3 red lights by overheating it in towels and microsoft gave me a new one :-)

we had one red e74 error i think we emailed them and said we had ring of death and the fixed it no problems

If you have proof of purchase (as its covered in the sale of goods act) if you do then it has nothing to do with Microsoft, you just take it back to where you bought it and insist on an exchange.

or at least that is what worked for me.

My xbox did this twice in three months all the did was sort mine :x prob go kapoot in another few months!
