Apologies if this has been answered before, but I just wanted to double check...
A few hours ago I got the dreaded ring of death on my 360. It started working again though, but it has been crashing a lot lately (immediately before the ring of death happened, and still since then too, so I suspect it'll most likely do the ring of death again soon), I phoned the place I bought it from (a local independant gaming shop - I bought it brand new in December) and they said straight away that I'd need to phone up Microsoft and get them to sort it - is this correct?
I have no idea where my receipt is anyway, but the shop did mention they'd be able to re-print one for me (that was without me saying that I'd lost it too), since they said that I'd need it since Microsoft won't listen without it apparently.
