Im after a 3D TV package and have got really confused on the benefits of Panasonic vs Sony vs Samsung
Im after either 46" or 50" and hopefully with a good bluray surround system
Any suggestions on where to start for a good deal?

wait 6 months, panasonic are miles ahead of everyone and when their 3d glassessless tv comes out it will be amazing, just need to win the lottery to buy it lol

Samsung are cheap but good, ive got a 50inch samsung one and love it, also samsung are reducing the price they sell extra glasses out so if you need a few could be worth getting one.

You got one in the end then. What model did you go for?

I'm not a fan of 3d, but I saw one of the Panasonic 3d's in john lewis the other week showing HD (in 2d) and it looked amazing, much better than my old 37" Panasonic plasma

yeah the hd on this one is much better than my old 37" plasma, it even turns normal 2d tv into 3d which i didn't know existed

Not sure I can justify £1400 rather than £600 for the G20

im getting more convinced to just buy a good non 3d tv especially as im on Virgin Media for the next 8 months minimum and it doesn't seem like they will be doing 3D any time soon
So any suggestions on a "standard" TV
Panasonic G20 seems to get mentioned a lot

Think I'm going for a G20 - Gets great reviews and has been tumbling in price due to the new ones coming out

Got the Samung LED 7000 seris 3D TV. Superb, internet & iplayer & YouTube + more. Can play video from USB drive (hard disk) & remote control using iphone. Picture as sharp as razor + colour outstanding - SUper Thin & energy efficient. 3D exceptional + upscales 2D to 3D if required (OK ish). Recommend highly

Cheers, I just cant find anything near that price, If I could I would buy it now

pannys are arguably better than samsungs in general, but not by a great deal considering the bump in the price.

3d sets are a little different, and imo and many on av forums, the samsungs have better 3d tv's
