Serious question, not having been on a train for ages -

Will I get good 3g reception on a train journey from London to Birmingham (T Mobile)?

You should do yes, although it might drop out in tunnels/cuttings etc.

Virgin have enhanced the mobile signal quality on their rolling stock; I don't have any problems on London Midland services either.

My provider is T-Mobile and I don't get great 3G when I go from Cheltenham to Birmingham. Could just be the route the train takes. =)

If you have an iPhone your chances are reduced.
