Welcome to life

lol bless you hon... for the five of us it generally costs about 30 quid... we live in london, but then with the popcorn drinks etc its easily 50 quid.

we compromise by letting our older kids choose their own movie and taking a friend we pay for too. we pick em up and drop em off. That way they get some buddy time out of it also x x

cinemas just seem to put prices up all the time when numbers go down, whereas if they had good deals and decent prices I'd go tonnes more
#4
two things people never compromise on during times of financial crisis....

holidays ( they'll use credit if they have to )

cinema ( escapist activities )

lol lol

Get an orange sim card and go on wednesdays... ORANGE WEDNESDAYS :)
#7
I have a mate who works at the odeon, if it wasn't for him getting us complimentary tickets, we wouldn't go. Oh, and we always get our goodies from the supermarket, not the cinema, I refuse to pay those disgusting prices.
#8
ill wait for the dvd lol
i can take all of em to mallory racing for 24 quid.

Me and my partner, £6.50 for a film +1 free ticket (Orange Wednesdays), go to shop near cinema for film food (1 drink each and 1 bag of popcorn each) Total price: £10.50.

So, just go on a wednesday after getting an orange sim, get film food if you want it from elsewhere and you've got yourself a cheap film for 2.

That'll be me next year. For now I get adults tickets for just over £3 with student discount
#13
i've got a cineworld pass which is about £13 per month and can see all the films i want!

I take a large handbag..with bottles of coke in bought at supermarket.

Get kids pick and mix from morrisons or sainsburys and only buy one large pop corn and share it out as it is alot better value...i cheekily pick up two or three of the pick and mix bags as i walk in to the cinema to put share the popcorn out.

There prices are ridiculous.

Forgot to take large handbag once and partners pockets were bulging everywhere.

same here, I hate carrying the bag. Can they stop you from entering if it isnt there food or drinks bought on the premises. I never know if they can but it feels wrong although if there prices werent ridiculous then I wouldnt do it. They never stop me though so maybe they cant or dont care as long as they get bums on seats.

Why can't people go 100 minutes without grazing?
#18
the cinema costs less than an hours wages per person doesnt it?

whats so expensive about that, to see a multi million pound production?
#19
"Its discustin."

Buy a dictionary the next time, better value than two wasted hours staring at a screen.

That sentence isn't exactly perfect so perhaps it's a bit unfair to pick on others, especially when it's clearly a 'typo'.

Nah, they spelt "tommorow" incorrectly as well.

How are you anyway? Must be a right pain cycling your ip and clearing your cookies all the time :-D

I don't quite know what you're implying, but it's probably wrong.

That doesn't excuse it. Would you accept the same fallacious argument if someone stole your car?

yeah but that goes for anything and everything......not just the cinema:thinking:

in my local ones they got signs up saying that they can check your bags and if u have any food u cant come in with it. basically have to throw it away or eat it first.

Cinemas are a blood rip off, imagine the profits they make on the pop corn. I think I had to pay 3.25 for a small bag and another £3 for a small drink :x
