Why? It's a freebie for PS3 users?

Is this assumption actually confirmed anywhere? All I've read is that an agreement has been reached and will be available in the near future, no date as of yet.

#7
I'm wondering for the Sony BDP s370 etc - would be brill to have those added to the already available iPlayer.

#11
**** why do M$ have to continue with their policy of making us Xbox people pay for all additional content?
Could do with some of these services.
#12
Look forward to this!
#13
Maybe it would be good to list here what else is already available for everyone?
As in sites that they can visit, thanks.

This will come in very useful. On another note for anybody that didn't know tvcatchup works on the ps3 (again) http://www.tvcatchup.com/

Can't understand why in this day and age, 4OD stream stuff with such low bit rates It's like watching a video on YouTube in it's early days. Tried to watch something on it a few weeks ago. Awful

I tried registering on catch up tv and it would not let me input the date of birth (only had the year). Did anyone else have probles registering on PS3. I have used on iphone but it asked for details again when using on PS3.
#25
Ideally, sign up on your pc - then, when you go to tvcatchup via PS3 you will hit the birthdate screen problem and there is an option at the very bottom to opt out from giving these personal details. Opt out, then go back to the menu across the very top of the page, select 'channels', your off and running.

Is The Simpsons on 4OD? Would be great if it is as i usually miss that every day.

Just a heads up to rumours are floating around that 5 on demand is coming early next year too. Also there's rumours that more streaming services are joining such as blinkbox.

5 on demand is the only other one on Sony blu-ray players (alongside iplayer) so agreement must be in place between 5 and Sony so I'm sure it won't be long.

Are you guys that have it doing an update or does it just appear? I haven't got either and there's no update available either.

They both just appear. Maybe try a restart and login to Playstation Store?

Or just go to http://itv.com/itvplayer/ps3 and http://ps3.channel4.com in your browser.

Great, did that and I'm in. Thanks bignickers!

Now as a warning to fellow long suffering STV viewers - DON'T put your postcode in as on PS3 the STV player is quite typically "Coming Soon" and you will get nothing on demand. Choose an English post code or better still Border TV area. What a joke STV are.

If you have then clear your cookies and it will go back to normal

Do you think by using this you need a TV License?

I don't watch TV so don't have an aerial or a license but I suppose if I can access this without the need to pay for a ridiculous license it might come in handy on occasions when the wife wants to watch something and it's not worth buying.
