Hi,
Just had our previous laptop written off by PC World and have been given a voucher for £500.

Were looking for 2 x netbooks so we can have one each. I work away a lot so will be great to take it with me.

Just after any tips on what people would recommend

how did they manage to write them off?

If you could get two NC10's they are the best netbook you will get, might have to put a little towards them though

If you're working, you might as well go for a proper laptop. For the sake of a kilo, the difference in performance and flexibility is so, so worth it. I've got an AcerOne myself, and it just crawls in comparison to my 1.6GHz Core2Duo Acer laptop. Everything just takes so long to happen.

In the last 6 months it's had two hard drives replaced. It was then sent off for 5 weeks as the screen kept on turning off for no reason, and when we finally got it back it had exactly the same problem!

When I phoned them up they decided to write it off, so have now got a voucher for £500 to spend in PC World/Currys.

Realyl annoyed as last week PC World had a deal on a netbook for £199, but only lasted a few days :(
Definatly want to get a 6 cell battery,

Its not for work in that sense, I work abroad and stay in a hotel once a week. Just something to chek my emails and browse the net to pass the time! Maybe load a few films onto.

Tried taking the last laptop across and was just too big and bulky, so a netbook will be idea.
