Get your point however its a shame as it will get "lost in misc " , and a lot more use to most of us that the 1p offers ect that bombard the site and could cost tesco a fortune which would be even better :D

What about if I change the price to £1.98?

Change the price to £1.98 and put in the title in brackets (2p with cashback) then report it for moving to the deals category.

thanks but if tesco was cheaper on 1 item would it take it off the total.
waiting on finding out when i put a recepit in but thinking ahead on how to "tesco shop" to maximise the credit ( upto £100 per household per month) site is not specific re the comparison ie by item or overall basket, if its on items you could end up with tesco paying you to buy things

Won't let me edit the price

I don't get it. Is this the ASDA price guarantee thing? If so I thought the WHOLE of your shopping had to be cheaper elsewhere, not just one or two bits, if the overall price is the same or cheaper, you won't get anything back. Have I misunderstood?
#13
I dunno, do you buy the box in tesco, then fill out a form on tescopricecheck? Can you do it for both online and tinternet shopping?

Cool, I didn't know. Just read their FAQs and it hasn't enlightened me. There's no info on the size of your basket, or how they calculate the difference (per basket or each individual item). I'm desperate to switch to Tesco as the ASDA customer service has had me reeling this week, but they are the cheapest (for me).

EDIT: Found the T&C - off to have a read!

So the start (kelloggs) is £2.38 at tesco but £1 @ Asda I would get 2.76 back from tesco? How do I get this money back? Tesco is closer and I've ran out
#18
Right I gotta go tesco anyway so I'm gonna chance this. Will post back (want some kellogs start)

It says that you put the receipt details into the website and then within 36 hours they will email you a voucher making the difference, so it be cash and they won't honour the difference immediately instore if thats what some people are thinking.

Yeah I read that which is fair enough as Tesco is closer to me, but I prefer ASDA on the whole so this could swing things.

I am as confused as everyone , will have to wait the 36 hours to see what happens with my recepit, Tand c and site seem very vague, as i a=said earlier if its paid out on any item thats cheeper then money to be saved if like asda its the basket then still money just a bit more care on the shopping recepit
#22
It just seemed like some people assumed it was a thing you could demand in store and it'll be cash, don't want peoples hopes up too high :)

But what would happen if you only put things in your basket which would get you more money back than youspent lol?

Then you'd get a voucher to the correct amount for your next purchase in Tesco. I would imagine that Tesco aren't stupid and the price for branded goods will be the same as Asda but the own brand stuff will be more expensive, something which isn't really fully covered in the T&C's.

you might get the odd bargain (with a bit of work) but since going from Tesco to Aldi, my bank account is much happier. was spending £70 a week on average at tesco, now spending £40 in aldi

every little helps

The large Easter eggs deal is even better. They are £2 at Asda and £6 at Tesco.
£4 difference so they have to give you an £8 voucher
#27
From the email I recieved from tesco after doing a price check it turns out the overall cost is what they compare, only a few things were cheaper at asda but overall apparently I saved £7 doing my shop at tesco so I dont get any money back.
