my gf used to have an old fiat panda with a soft top. was quality... you could fold it all the way back so people in the back have no roof aswell. we got turned aweay from the lion enclosure in the safari park though. the old faithfull gave up the going while going up a big hill in Clee..... sigh... i wish i still had a car

Have you considered a 1993 Ford Mondeo with a blown had gasket?

If not, could I tempt you with mine?

Best car on the road, in my humble opinion, is the Toyota Land Cruiser 3.0 D4D LC4.

Great tow car, reliable as anything I've known, and 30mpg too.

You'd need deeper pockets though!!

S2000 i love but too expensive for me atm.
Lovely car, id probably think they wouldnt drink as much.

Just sold my S2000 - Fantastic car - good on fuel although I used the shell optimax on mine - you will struggle to get a good S2000 for £6k though

Jez, id love one.
how much did you sell yours for?

How nippy are they compared to like the supra/skylines etc?

How about an old Smart Roadster? Very good MPG, not as fast as the RX8 but still a good laugh to drive. If you can find a Brabus version (not the mad one on Top Gear) you will get better performance - but you may have to pay a bit more for the Brabus version.

2006 VW Golf GT 2.0 TDi. Cheap to run, reasonable performance, fantastic resale value and reliable. After July 06 models have 170hp and 0-60 in 7.9 secs.

Toyota celica? cracking looking car, plus Jap reliability

£12k P/E against a GSXR1000 TT Special - 55 Plate , 15K Miles etc etc.

Performance wise 240Bhp as Standard but Very rev happy - first thing to do it bypass the Cat,and get some proper exhausts - this frees it up and makes it sounds amazing BUT they are really expensive on Insurance - too many people lose control of them in the wet as they are rear wheel drive - great car and will really miss it - currently sitting in my garage for another week.

Abz - What about a Hyundai Coupe ?
#32
Dont go for the Warrior, I had one for a weekend test drive and it was dog awful, the handling was dire, and if your used to the handling in a RX8 you would be very disappointed.

How about a used M5 :w00t:
