How would you hide winning that?

I'd hate to be one of those morons clinking champagne glasses together who then have their house robbed once a week or get threats against family.

If I won that I would give it three months until the news headline was.

'Man dies in drugs and vodka fuelled hot tub and loose women sexplosion!'

82 million is a scary amount, I'd need to keep it a total secret with only a couple of people in the know.
#12
how could you keep that secret ?

Didn't the last UK big winner keep it a secret?

You would probably have to tell Camelot you wanted zero publicity and approach one of those private banks like Coutts to manage the money before you claimed so you didn't get 80 million dumped into an HSBC current account. Imagine trying to explain that to the teller when you next needed cash.

watch the bank managers face light up when you deposit it into the bank, then watch the colour drain from their face when you want to withdraw it.

I don't think I would like to win a substantial amount like £90m as I wouldn't know what to do. A local Peterborough woman won £2.4M on the lottery last week Lucky family

Not to be greedy, but £2.4M wouldn't be enough, i would still have to work. It would be great being able to payoff morgage, buy a car and nice holiday, but it wouldn't last 50 years. I think for my age i would need £4-5M winnings to be able to retire. But i would still have to live sensibly.

You could easily make 2.4m stretch your lifetime. National average wage is 25k so say if you have a partner then 50k a year income would be 2.5million over 50 years. So winning 50 years worth of 50k annual residual income should be adequate for anyone, especially taking into account you'll only ever accrue interest and never pay it on things like a mortgage then your standard of living is superior than if you worked it.

****, 2.4m is easily enough to retire on, trouble is you'd soon get bored.
