what do u guys think? hould i post this as a deal?????

Can you get it without activation like in the UK?
#6
Im pretty sure the Germans are going the same way as America, by forcing people to sign up in the shop. I read something over the weekend about it. There are ways round it (like anything) but the Networks are clamping down on Iphone sales because they make no money from the phone itself but from the contract. You ll need to let us know how you get on!! I know there is a massive shortage in America hope its not the same in Germany!

Just been on the tmobile.de website and it seems its an Itunes activation just like the uk. My german is not great so maybe somebody on here could look into it more?
#8
They all get activated by itunes, but the Americans AT&T etc were forcing people to do it instore!! even the "im buying it for a gift for someone" wasnt working in some stores!!
#9
I would definitely get one at that price. Bargain!

Well you can order it online so I guess its like the uk.
#11
you can order it online for 99 euros but you have to have the 89 euro a month tariff

From stuff tv blog -

Presumably T-Mobile have worked out a way to stop people simply buying the cheaper iPhone and unlocking it for use on other networks. Two solutions spring to mind: either require customers to sign up to the contract when they buy the iPhone, or use a cashback scheme if signing up the usual way by activating the phone at home using iTunes.

Who's gonna take the plunge then?
[admin]#14
Personally I would say hold on as the 3g is supposed to be here within 60 days according to Walt Mossberg...

One of the mods should go over and try to get one, I will donate £1 towards their flight via paypal. If other interested parties do the same then it will be an all expenses paid holiday.

I'm actually in Germany right now if you really want one... honestly though I'd wait until 3G!

Anyone know if Iphones are sold in Poland?
[admin]#19
No I'm sure it'll be more than 99 euro but at least it would be speedy!

The problem with waiting on the 3g iphone is o2 is miles behind the rest of the networks, they are about to get hit for a £40 million pound fine from offcom for not meeting there targets on 3g/3.5g coverage. Obviously thats if your using an iphone on o2 and not t-mobile :whistling: but then no-one would want to unlock it now would they!!

Update. No sorry you have to give bank details and agree to what we call a direct debit. Then they direct debit the 99 euros and despatch the phone and then 89 euros each month. Also it has to be from a german bank account.
