does anyone have any silly top tips like the viz comic used to do

eg: using string, nails and pullies, it is possible to turn on the bath taps from your living room
or: fill a shredded wheat with pink soap and hey presto an inexpensive brillo pad.
or: by joining together dozens of paper clips you can make yourself an attractive chain mail tank top ideal for a knight out.

you get the idea
