Im looking to upgrade my brothers computer so he can install windows 7 he currently has 2x 256MB 1RX16 PC2 -4200U-444-11

Can anyone recommend a cheap upgrade or maybee even a second hand one if you have it its 100% about budget this one guys my brothers so tight he squeeks when he walks

What are the other components/spec, just wondering as you want to run windows 7 and at the moment you have
2x 256MB 1RX16 PC2 -4200U-444-11


Run this on your brothers computer
check ram max etc

to be honest mate i havent a clue alls i know is the minumum you need for windows 7 to run fairly ok is at least a gb or ram

The n1996 isn't a motherboard model as such. It's just basically legal for sale etc.

I'd stick with the same spec for reassurance then. Here

xp mate max it can be installed is 1gb anyway

I'd probably go with infineon - either will do the job though
