Go to Brick Lane which is in Aldgate or Aldgate East. LOADS of curry houses and they are wicked. Also check out their Sunday markets.

Get off at Aldgate...(not East) and turn left out of the station and you will come to a pub on the corner (cannot remember what it is called) and then follow the pub around and then Brick Lane is infront of you. You can tell it is Brick Lane as it is predominantly quite an Indian area of London.

Mate,
Highly recommended is Khan's at Bayswater.
From Bayswater station, walk towards Whiteleys and proceed toward the T-Junction.
Turn left and walk for about 50m.
You will see the huge restaurant on your left with many many people inside (all the time).
You will find the best curry around London.
They've been there for ages.....
