#7
 at donny :giggle:
#8
my furthest is about 500 miles. from south wales to disneyland paris
#9
That's about the maximum I have done in a day, although in France which is obviously a lot easier than here.
#10
Mine is about 600-700 in a day.
#11
Yes but not today, used to drive from Newcastle via Manchester to dover and on to my base in Germany.
#12
i'll do 440 miles today, and work a 12 hour day on top of the driving
#13
Have to say it ,but driving that distance in a day is not big or clever and certainly not safe at all.
As I drive a lot for a living I am constantly having to dodge idiot drivers that are just about asleep at the wheel!

I do drive a lot in a year about 40,000 miles so i class myself as profficent IE no accidents for 15 years and no points on my license. I would agree with you but i had to investigate a major issue that was causing problems to people that i am responsible for( i cant divulge the true facts due to security issues) I would normaly drive 300 350 miles in a day with breaks. Suffice to say i am not an idiot driver and am considerate in the miles i drive.

Speed limit in France is 130 km/hr in good weather and on most French motorways, you can pretty much do 130 km/hr indefinitely.

must be a record the longest paper round ever:whistling:

I drove from Tamworth NSW up to queenland - what an amazing drive, got stopped by the police, had my young daughter in the car and they had just stopped to see if we were ok and had plenty of water, they played ball with my daughter on the side of the road and were doing tricks for her:)

Jesus..... what golf club were you using?!?! :w00t:

After we got back to where we live we drove to the Oulton Park racetrack too, I imagine that ate up a few miles!

I didnt have a license at the time, my dad drove the whole time. I was an expert coffee drinker though.

Agreed, it is for that very reason HGV and Coach Drivers have restricted driving hours.

It is just as dangerous as driving under the influence of booze, if not more so.

My dads having an argument with some people hes doing a talk for, they expect him to travel for 10 hours then do a 3 hour talk then do a 10 hour drive back, or at least have changed their minds on paying accomodation saying he doesnt need it.

Um a 10 hour drive for one, and 2 hes on benefits and needs to hire a car to go down!

I guess he's not doing the talk then, or he should put his foot down

Dont know, he spoke to the high up boss who was angry at his staff as they are the ones who arrange it, but like most people like to cut back anyway they can.

They have promised the money but its next week hes supposed to go down and cant afford to use his non existant own money first.

He gets invited to loads of talks around the UK and even in Europe(once in Canada) as he does a lot of charity work but they expect him to pay hundreds of quid first in travel and hotel(since its places like London)

Typical very rich places who cant understand when someone says "I cant afford to" my dad runs a charity and so they assume hes making millions per year.
