If I wonderweb my son's trousers hems to make them a good deal shorter, will I be able to remove it later and alter them as he grows? Thanks in advance.

My mum told me my brother went through the knees like crazy. I've heard people wonderweb patches on the inside of the knees too - to make them a bit more hard wearing - any thoughts on this?

Tried it but my son found it uncomfortable and whilst wiggling to get comfy ripped higher on the leg.

Morrisons £2 back to school trousers are the answer.
Cheaer than wonder web and no embarassing creases an inch above the hem that never quite iron out if you take the trousers down.

Which Morrisons do you live next to?My local doesn't do clothes. £2 trousers? WOW, must be nice if they fit. I've yet to find a budget pair of trousers that fit mine. TBH I've yet to find a kid that fits any pair of trousers from any store. Love to find the kid that actually fits a pair of school trousers from ANY store, budget or posh. My kids usually grow 2 months after September anyway, so I'm, up the proverbially creek whatever, lol.

do you mind me asking what kind of size is your child then? cause most shops start uniforms from age 3 years with adjustable waists so that they do fit, you can also get a wider fit for the larger child as well, try m&s or asda they stock loads of sizes, I have 2 girls that started school this year and got school clothes to fit both of them, its all a matter of trial and error! so why you cant is beyond me!

i live just outside Glasgow and about all local stores stocked back-to-school clothes up here in July, including £2 trousers (with adjustable waist). i expected them to be the cheapest of the cheap but honestly they are every bit as good as the M&S ones i've bought in previous years. (yeah morrisons)

I was referring to the leg length. Which is why I use wonderweb. Well aware of the adjustable waistbands thanx. My two are quite tall for their age so I usually have to buy the next size up, which is why the length needs to be taken up. No big problem really.

lol if they are tall for their age why do you need to take up the leg length? getting confused now! make it easier for yourself, buy the wider fit or pull in the waist, if that is what is needed so you dont have to take up the legs
