was playing golf today over in wike, and my mate ends up in a bunker and was like eurghh wtf is that startign to freak out a bit, we all go over (5 of us) and it starts to move a bit.. it becomes quite clear it is a rabbit,

we noticed earlier in the day there had been a fair few birds of prey out and about and i look a bit closer and you could see its face was pretty covered in blood and this was because it had had its eyes pecked out, most nutritional bit?? it tried to move a bit but couldnt use its backs legs, we were all a bit grossed out and my first thoguht was to grab my driver... so anyways it fell upon me as it alwasy would to do the deed, even though it couldnt see i put a towel over it as animals stay more calm in the dark, but it help me carry it out of the bunker and under some trees, it was obviously scared and was peeing everywhere while i carried it.. i put it down, it tried to move away.. then i just picked up the biggest rock i could find and had to hit it twice :(

ended up a bit covered in splash back and it was only the 7th hole!!

suppose thats nature..... i dont know whether the kite or whatever bird it was would come back to it for the rest of its meal and had just imobillised it as such but it didnt seem the nicest way of going about your dinner.. i made bogey and that was that really

not really i know i did the right thing, always my familly who deals with this crap, had a hedgehog down at the cricket club which had fly strike and was being eaten inside out by maggots so me mum finished that off i was a bit younger, and she had to shovel a pidgeon another time which had been hit by a car and was wondering round with its head held on by a few bits of sumthing..

jsut my turn this time

as i understand it you removed the rabbit from the bunker. As the rules state "You may not move or remove any loose impediments in the bunker unless they are foreign to the area. Example – you may remove a candy wrapper but not a pine cone or tree branch" i would suspect that a rabbit, in nature, is native to the course and thus shouldnt have been removed.

Therefore i deem your game null and void, and as such, your bogey doesnt matter! :)

Oh no ................youve killed the Easter bunny !...:( Joking X)

Brave of you op, cant of been nice what you had to do ( dont think i could do it tbh ) but better than it having to suffer a possible long and painful death !

was the right thing to do but tbh .. i think a pretty inhumane way of doing it ... lol

you never "necked" a rabbit?
in that situation i woulda put the towel over the head ( stop contamination spread ) grabbed the hind legs and pulled down on the neck and twisted .. instant death .... then i'd have pulled my trusty machete out lopped off the head and stuck it in a bag for tea :D winner winner rabbit for dinner!

Well me and a friend i aint seen for a few years was playing golf today at our local golf course. My friend was about to chip onto the green when he sees a long funeral procession on the road next to the course. He stops in mid-swing, takes off his golf cap, closes his eyes, and bows down in prayer.

i said: “Wow, that is the most thoughtful and touching thing I have ever seen. You truly are a kind man.”

My friend replies: “Yeah, well we were married 35 years.”

Rabbit walks into a cafe and orders a ham toastie. He gulps it down and orders a cheese toastie. He soon finishes that and orders a chicken toastie. Then he drops dead.
He enters heaven and God says to him, "Do you know how you died?"
The rabbit replies "Mixing my toasties?"

That's yours.

Reminds me of my Dad when he saw a Pheasant get hit by a car. It was still moving so my Dad went back and rung its neck to put it out of its misery. He then put it in the back of the car, took it to his mums and asked her to pluck it and cook it!
Pheasant stew....lovely!

On the plus side..... Err... Nope I got nothing.

Ignore ALL negative and joke comments. End of the day you put a suffering animal down to spare it a slow and painful death.

I am sure if it could it would of thanked you.

i only had a little hand towel and there wasnt much chance of me touching its head to be honest..

my mates first thought was myxomatosis, hope it wasnt though cause i got splattered by the thing
