claims that the paypal account linked to her ebay account 'doesn't work', and has sent me an paypal invoice different to the one on her ebay account. She says she will mark the item as 'payment sent' on ebay straight after I pay it. What should I do? Should I bother paying her at all, or can I contact ebay about this?

They only appear to sell jeans, but in the last couple of days sold dozens upon dozens of the same item you purchased.

Do not send payment. Report to ebay.

Fake ones at that !

I'd never buy anything from that seller looking at the negs, the stuff is coming from HK apparently.

Cheers, i'm going through ebay live chat now, if that doesn't work, i'll get on the phones ASAP.

I imagine that's why the Paypal account linked to the Ebay account "doesn't work" Paypal have probably put a stop to it because of fake goods.

I would report too, when i had my ebay account hacked (i used to sell cheap clothes on their) within in hours of it happening my account had been used to list 100's of italian leather jackets, they had not got my paypal details so i presume they would have asked to do the same thing that you have been asked, i went to ebay live help who instantly got my account back for me and confirmed it had indeed been hacked.

Oh this is just great, now ebay are questioning my identity on the live chat because I have two addresses: my uni address, and my home one. Fools!

do they still type like robots on their ?

This is what the live chat woman is telling me!

The item status shows as unpaid. What I would suggest you to do is contact PayPal and confirm that the PayPal address the seller has provided to you is a verified account. If it is, you can send the payment as you would be protected by PayPal.

This is a common problem that happens with sellers. This is why I ask you to contact PayPal to confirm that it would be a safe payment.

She would not be able to add the correct address for this item as it has already been sold.

What she can do is send an invoice to you via PayPal and then you can send the payment to the new PayPal email address.

I would still not go through with the sale, as ASB said, the seller has suddenly changed the things they sell, sounds dodge to me, and remember sellers cant leave you a neg :)

OMG, the never said that, god even ebay themselves don't know what they are talking about, if you pay to an address seperate from the listing you are not covered, as you should be for an ebay sale, not completely incorrect, VERY misleading though shocking

Really, interesting...thanks for the tip

Just cancelled this order with the seller. I have a feeling the seller didn't want to sell it to me anyway, as my bid wasn't that high, hence I got the better end of the deal. Either way, it's over now!
