Is it safe or not ?

cant seem to find a decent answer 50% say it aint and 50% say it is

i remember as a kid putting a magnet near my old dears tv and it going funny (god she went crazy lol)

and i was told that putting a sub near your pc is more then likely doing the same, have also seen it said it can stuff up your hard drive,

i have taken a few pics to show where the speakers are etc

any help would be great

It's unlikely to affect either of your pc's.
But you'd be better off putting it on the floor to get a better sound from the sub.

a sub is meant to be on the floor, with the amount of bass they give which if set up correct you should feel not hear, your monitors and things will start to rumble
#5
can the little speakers remain on the table or do i put the whole lot of the floor ?
#6
the spaekers need to be spread out, did you not read the instructions which came with them

i have my sub next to my pc and not had problems

I dont know of any subwoofer that is magnetically shielded for use near monitors etc. The sub should always be placed on the floor, in a corner is even better, for optimum sound quality. It wont matter where in the room you place it as its omni directional (which basically means you cant tell where the sound is coming from).
Looking at your set up you have plenty of places to put it on the floor.

my speakers are either side of my monitor while the sub sits on the floor

read instructions, or better still goto a home cinema website for ideas of how to place your speakers for optimal sound

The 'little speakers' better known as Satellites should be placed on the desk. The centre speaker should be placed either directly behind the monitor, or in front of it and the left and right speakers spaced as wide as possible for optimum stereo reproduction. Same for the 2 rear speakers, again as far back and a good distance apart to enjoy them at their best.

Instructions never mentioned about where they should be placed, infact when i called them the lady said '' it should be fine as these sets are made for pc's ''

Mine looked like that, with the sub behind the monitor.

I forgot to mention, in case you aren't sure, the satellites are shielded so you can put them as close to the monitor/PC as you wish without fear of damaging either.

Looks nice m8 got the same sort of desk coming soon, but picked up 2 school desks in the mean time :-D so you have the same sub etc as me, did it affect your pc being behind the monitor

You are not getting the best from a good set of speakers with the way you have them setup in the pictures.

Cool set ups guys, really nice. I want a new pc.....and a new desk...and a new speaker system....

I have got a logitech subwoofer next to my pc, so it should be on the floor? Its only a cheap set, £30, the Logitech X-240.

it dosnt matter how much the sub cost, check the frequency, the lower the better, i have a set of creative 2.1 on my pc as its just for playing games on, but in my front room im running a REL Q100, very deep, if you watch a war film with bombs exploding it can and will blow your windows out as its set to depth so you feel it instead of hearing it, its fantastic, but the gf dosnt like it
