Is there a website which compares and tells you the best price for tarading in secondhand games?
When buying dvds, games, books etc there are price comparison sites like find-dvd, is there anything like it for trading in games?
I'm looking to trade in about 30 - 40 PS2 games, probably not worth a whole lot but I've no idea whatsoever of any prices, they could be worth 99p or £99 for all I know.
If no comparison sites, out of Game, Gamestation and CEX where should have the best cash trade prices?
Thanks.

None that I know.

PS2 games will be quite low, unless you have some rare limited editions, your be looking at £50 tops.

I was thinking they will probably go for really low prices, but I have no idea if there are any rare ones, they were my brothers and he gave them to me to do what I want with them and I can keep whatever cash is made. I'd just like to optimise whatever cash I can get.
Someone should set up a games trade in comparison site, I'm sure it would be popular.

Best thing to do, is either do as Addy says and go to the CEX website and total it up. Or you can search on eBay to get a rough estimate, or just list them here and if we notice any good ones we can let you know?

The companies change the prices so often - Million pound idea if you set it up BUT unfortuantely it's a very limited online service so not many people will send off used games online as it cost a bomb for post. Stick it either on here as a lot or go ebay

Wouldn't think your collection would be worth more than £30 odd unless you've got some rare titles

People wouldnt have to send them off, they could use the site to see where they would get the best price before heading into town.

No I'm saying there wouldn't be much money in making the site unlike all these car insurance sites you go through THEIR site and they take commision but if you don't sell online and go instore you wouldn't make any money apart from advertising plus the faff of updating it daily would take forever and so many companies to go through

I'm just going through the CEX site, they seem mostly around 60p cash/£1.10 credit and £2 cash/£3 credit. Worst one so far £0.00 cash, £0.10 credit lol
I'm bored of looking now though, I think I'll just take them there and hope they take them all.
Thanks for your help, I still think someone should make the website though, if you can get one which compares the prices of 50+ book sellers or dvd sellers in a few seconds then comparing prices of a few companies who offer trade ins seems easy enough in principle...or at least in my mind. If you make millions please can I have a 1% idea fee?

Why dont you take a photo of all the games and stick them on here on the for misc forums and ask what you think they are all worth and then stick it on the forum for sale - people on here will probably pay more for certain games

If someone would help me with prices then that would be fab, I didn't want to annoy people with a 'how much is this worth' thread, I know it drives some people crazy but it would be a help to me to get some prices.

Piccys, top ones are 'platinum' and no idea what the difference to the normal ones is!

EDIT: There is also a PS2 (original grey fat one I think), couple of controllers, 16MB memory card. CEX price was £15 cash/£20 credit for just the console, I have no idea how that compares to other places.
I'm just having a clear out for space and cash and before we have to move house, get things sorted before a mad panic sets in!

Thanks everyone :)

I would say £50 still.

Remember you now have Tesco/Asda to consider. Also Argos does trade ins.

However PS2 have been seen as a dated console now, I remember GAME not accepting these at one point.

Best bet, is either job lot on eBay or just pick a shop, and price beat it at another.

Oh I didn't know Tesco did trade ins, that would be nice and easy enough and I wouldn't mind credit there. £50 I'd be happy with, I'll look into them tomorrow. Thanks for the tip.

or sell as console
and sell all the games as a job lot

DMC 3 and FF X 2 might be worth selling individually, but thats £2 profit ish after postage

asda and tesco wont accept ps2 games.

Asda, Tesco and Argos do not accept PS2 games for trade-in, only X360, PS3, DS and Wii.
