if you get all the grade you want, you go to college, uni and then after years of further education and a degree in something you didnte really want you sit and wtach jerremy kyle while pondering you're future...

if you fail, you sit at home milking the state while watching jeremy kyle.........

It's inevitable! the only difference is how many kids you'll have watching it with you

either way, good luck

So did you get your A level results last week? If so, were you pleased? My nephew got an A, B and C and he's going to the uni he wants.

Quick answer: don't :p
Seriously, I don't really know anything about norn uni's. Unless you're thinking of making the leap to bad old England. What subject you thinking of studying?

Is it not only free if you live in scotland?

Not sure. But surely if you did plan to go to a Scottish uni, you would want to live there.
#29
dont worry about these, so easy compared to a-levels i thought i did **** and pulled out with 2 A*s 5 a's and 4 B's.
banned#30
They are important, you should be trying to get your best so saying "don't worry about these" isn't the message you wanna give - its essential to get high grades in english, science, maths if you want to apply for a big course in uni.
#31
good luck to everyone waiting their results :)

What I meant was that you had to be scottish, ie. live in scotland all your life.

This may have been good advice 3/4 months ago, but defo useful for future GCSE students. Its not like much can be done now, so "don't worry about these" and good luck for tomorrow!!!

could you not tell my "anger" wasn't serious?

I thought the smiley made it obvious and seeing as nobody else posted a comment like yours, i take it the rest of the members knew it was a joke too.

You sir/miss are an idiot :)
#35
GL but remember GCSE if you intend on doing alevels then degree just dont count.

As long as u did well in maths english and science thats all that counts
#36
Employers rarely look at your GCSE's if you have A-Levels, a degree, work experience etc
#37
Oxford said it was unusual for them to accept someone that hadn't acquired 5 A* in GCSE. Does that mean they actually look at the results, or is it just a way of determining someone's intelligence?
#38
Im ******** my pants. .

I hope i do well!

Ill post up what i get! Same goes for anybody else!

what do you expect you will get? I got 1B 1D and the rest Cs

I got ABC on my Alevels and a 2:1 Degree so GCSEs dont matter too much

Dont worry dude im sure u will be fine

of course not... they wanted 10...

edit: only joking, as i don't really know, but they would look at the interview as a major part as well as another external test (not A levels, but AEA or something).
