A quick google came up with this

The Problem:-
When opening a site into a new window, the new window opens up small. How do I fix it so all windows open up maximized?

Resolution:-
The first window you open will be exactly the same size as the last window closed. So closing a full sized maximum window last, will let you to have a new maximum sized window next time.Easiest way is to right-click the IE icon on your desktop, create shortcut, right-click the shortcut, properties, Run: maximized.

Hope it works

Perhaps its meant to? :?

lol, sorry. I don't know how to help...you could try dragging the window to the size you want, then pressing the X in the corner, then clicking the link again. Does that do anything?? Other than that, im stumped!

Second attempt at googling the problem, I've found four mentions of this exact method, I hope this works (please work)

1. Close all instances of Internet Explorer that are currently open, except for one.
2. Right click a link on the web page and select Open in new window.
3. Close the first instance of the browser that was originally open using the “X” in the top corner.
4. Resize the existing window by dragging the top and sides until it is full screen again.
5. Click the “X” in the top corner while holding down the Ctrl key.

The next time you open your browser, the window will once again appear full screen.

It does it for me too both in I.E. and Firefox but only for Kelkoo not for any other site, it must be their site that's the problem.

Does it do it for all sites for you?
