Mobiles2yourdoor have a few very cheap deals. They're Cashback though and the cashback is weighted towards the end of the contracts. So you'll have to find around £30 a month for the first 6 months but then get most of it back in the second six months.

Virgin mobile do a phone and contract for £8.50 a month I think.. set amount of texts and calls.

http://www.virginmobile.com/vm/payMonthlyPhones.do

100 minutes and 100 texts a month that includes... prolly not enough for a teenager.

My daughter is 11 and she thinks the LG cookie is cool.

If you dont need a new phone with the contract i suggest you go for one of the many sim only deals available, they are useful because you can cancel them with only one months notice, but the only downside is not getting a new phone.

This one from O2 is good:

Mins: 150 Texts:300

Cost per month
£9.79

And remember you can cancel with just one months notice and it doesnt have any cashback issues.

T mobile- £15 a month, a rolling contract so you can cancel at any time, (month by month instead of 12/18 month contract) 350 mins and unlimited texts.

Awesome deal. Sim only so she would keep her own phone but brilliant deal if you're out of work and not sure if you can afford the whole 12 months contract and also brilliant value for money. Look on tmobile.co.uk/star or call 0800 956 3007..or on the back of loads of gossip magazines at the min

you really need to know what sort of contract she has been on, if she has been use to using 500 text and you put her on a contract where there is only 100 text you going to have a massive phone bill

I don't mind Sassie sharing.

I'm on the phone to one of my sisters at the mo and am not very good at multitasking.

My little angel is in bed at the mo and I have no idea what she is used to having.
Will obviously find out tomorrow.
She only told me just before bed that she needed this.

typical.

Mine tell me they need summin just as they're walking out the door.. " Mum, did you buy all my ingredients and measure them out for cookery??"

Argh!!!

its ok phil, me leave ya thread now, good luck in your search, but better to find out what she needs before comitting, although i think guv has found you a good deal unless she also wants the new phone like my daughter did x

The deal is just any O2 contract with a 30% I can get applied.

If you needed a phone as well (which it sounded like you didn't) then just look up anything on O2 and i should be able to sort it out for you.

If you don't want it - it sounds like Sassie is chomping at the bit for it! (and a phone deal!):w00t:

if she was on orange perhaps give them a call i did this for my son when his contract run out he was paying 35 a month he now pays £15 a month he got new phone and 600min and unlimited texts might be worth a try

That does sound pretty good.
I remember she was with Orange and it was £30.00 a month but as I said before, I have no idea what calls and/or texts that included.
I'm pretty sure she texts more than calls but will know better in the morning.
Thanks for everyones help so far.
It makes me feel humble that peeps rally round like this.

The option is there to change the web bolt on to unlimted texts.... But 1600 sounds more than enough Id have thought!

Guv's deal sounds more than good - it's unbeatable from I have seen. I'm been looking around for two new contracts when ours expire soon and not found anything to touch that. Good if you can get it - I think whatever her usual habits are, this one will suit!

LOL. The iPhone contract I got (which makes the one mentioned here sound expensive!!!) comes with 500 texts! I went really mad one month and used 6 texts... all in one month! Crazy, huh!:w00t:

Guv, I'm a bit naive with these contracts, is this something I can get for myself or do I need to go through you?

You do the deal yourself - direct with O2..... but you need something from me to get it! Basically via my company (who have a very large contract with O2) - I get 5 or 6 codes a year to use. I've actually given out all mine, but when RFM was looking for a deal (and went for t-mobile) I'd asked a mate if I could nick one of his, which I secured for him. As I said, its a 30% discount on any contract. Includes any contract with a phone (except Blackberry for some reason - though know people who've got that) or sim only.

Suppose I could ask for another.... and for Sassie I guess.............. But no promises! I know I can get one....the guy might think I'm taking liberties!:w00t:

Guv, I'd like to do that, but I can get back to you after I've had a chat with my daughter and got a deal sorted?
I should know tomorrow evening or Saturday at the latest.
Is that OK with you?

Many thanks to everyones help by the way.

Yeh, no worries.

I'm at a meeting all day on Monday, so wouldn't be until Tuesday before I could sort anything.

Dont forget if you want to port your number, you'd need a PAC.... Get that sorted so you'd have the number available. (It dont matter if you change your mind and don't use it.)

Best way to do it, is give me your mobile number (by PM!) and I can get the code sent direct to the phone. (its an automated sms from a part of O2's website that we have access to. Not 100% necessary, but at least you'd have the details to hand!

I don't think keeping her phone number is important.
Apart from her friends, and they are all in one place, it's only me and her mother that needs the number.
I might get it ported though, I'll ring up and see how accommodating they are but that is the least of my worries.
Have I got this right, would I choose from this page?
Is this the right page
What is unlimited web bolt on?
I'm a complete noob to this contract stuff. Lol.
You wouldn't believe I spent all my working life, until last year, in IT.

That's weird! They seem to have different deals!!! Similar, but this is better. (Remember - you just take 30% off those prices.)

I know shop deals are normally worse than online. But it is possible to get them to match if you wanted to haggle! Failing that, take the deal online (and agree to £19pm for the order) then I'll give you a number to call to get the discount applied.

Selecting the web bolt on, will mean she can access the internet. Browse web pages, access emails, msn, facebook etc. Obviously the phone itself makes a difference to what you can do. Mine is used more online than for calls by a country mile!

Ah.... I just saw the gothcha! That was for 12 months to get 800 mins and 1600 texts!

So unless you wanted to commit to 12 months, it would be 600 mins and 1200 texts. Soz for the confusion!

If you order online remember to use Quidco you should get £23.33 back :)

After much thought, I decided to go with Guv's kind offer.
So I went to the O2 shop today and eventually saw this nice young lady.
I gave her all the details that Guv gave me and she seemed to know all about what was needed and set off to get me a great deal.
I've only ever been on PAYG and have had a £10.00 credit on my phone since Christmas. Lol.
It took a bit of time 'cos the computer was playing up, but, about 3/4 hour later, I walked out of the shop with a working sim card that gives me ( or should I say, my daughter, ) 800 mins call time, 1600 texts and unlimited web bolt on each and every month for the princely sum of £13.71.

Way to go Guv.
Many thanks.

Excellent. Hope daughter is happy.

Well done Guv x x x

No worries. Glad you got it sorted. Just remember to call them though so you can be 100% sure they've actually applied the discount properly. From what you said, you should be fine, but you know how naff their computer systems can be at times!

800 mins, 1600 txt and web bolt-on for £13.71 on O2 isn't to be sneezed at.
