I went into Poundworld today and my 6 year old said 'mummy, whats a sh*g bracelet?'!!!!!!
She was looking at a pack of flourescent plastic bangles and that is exactly what it said on the packet, I am disgusted. Fair enough in Ann Summers, but Poundworld! im really pee'd off, these things are bound to catch the eye of little one's, they are bracelets after all but why the heck have they decided to sell these named that. Anyway I spoke to the manager who said he agreed but the matter was bigger than him and gave me the number to head office which I will ring tomorrow. I really would like these removed from sale, why should I have to explain that word to a 6 year old!! If you feel the same could I ask you to take a moment to ring also. 01924420260

**** bracelet 26 up, 16 down
A bracelet given to a friend as a semi-joke, preferably a tasty looking one, woven or made of a thread like fibre.Once it is broken they owe u a ****. Easily obtainable from Camden market, once it is broken there is no turning back. Alternative rules stipulate it is the breakee of the bracelet who must do the nasty with the wearer, not the giver.

Alternative definition: **** Band

It's sad....

14 year olds shouldn't be watching porn dvds with all the porn on the internet available for free.

I blame the parents:x

Apparently the staff are all quite young in the store and just scan away when someone brings their basket up so hadnt noticed.

lol lol the mother was going pure mental cause all shop offered her was the £1 refund lol (yuk imagine having to go back with a second hand porn dvd lol)

Michellemoo, I understand ur concern, its not nice when ur trying to bring ur kids up properly and u see stuff like that in a store that shouldnt really have worded stock like that

some of the little boys on here need to get a life away from thier monitors. as a parent i also find it wrong that shops sell these things at a level that young children can see/read them. my son is 5 and reads everything he sees why should i need to explain what these things are just because some chavs like the s*** in poundland
#38
Walked into WHSmiths the one day and they had explicit magazines at children's eye level in a "sale" section.

Reported it to the manager and they were moved higher as I was hypocritically given the spiel on individual human rights.

Think shops like Poundland don't even have to consider stuff like this. Anything and everything that can make a few pennies turns up there.

I'm pretty open with my kids so woulda told em exactly what the word meant, I never hide anything from them as I think fore-warned is fore-armed. But totally agree with Moomoo... our kids are open to a barrage of media images, it's too much too young, all in the name of sales.

sorry about taking the **** before, but yeh i totally agree, especially considering thr teenage pregnancy rate.

If the bands were stronger, then the kids wouldn't have intercourse when they break:thumbsup:

Don't buy these bands from poundland because of the poor quality.
