why are you saying wow for this not funny matter

Chalk it down to experience, should have called the police as she was injured in a road accident. Now with little proof it's unlikely anyone will take it on

Legal requirements
The law requires that if you have been the driver of a motor vehicle on a road involved in an accident resulting in injury or damage to another person's property or involving some types of animals, you, the driver, must stop and if required by any person having reasonable grounds, provide your name and address, insurance company and name and address of the owner of the vehicle you are driving and its registration mark.
If you do not provide these details, for whatever reason, you must, as soon as possible, and in any event within twenty-four hours of the accident, report the incident to a police officer or at a police station. For full details of the legal requirements consult section 170 of the Road Traffic Act 1988.

There may be reasons why, in addition to the circumstances above, you may wish to report the accident. In such circumstances, the amount of detail recorded by police, if at all, will vary according to the circumstances or the seriousness of the accident

I doubt if you will be able to claim for a "big bruise" tbh, and if this happened last year why have you waited this long to do anything about it?

I take it was not a serious accident then. As someone else has stated why were the police not involved?
If it was that serious, would medical records not back you up? Records of the injuries/accident date etc.Or if there are no medical records, one would ask why are you claiming in the first place, as no harm done!

no time for medical reports or police - the solicitors was priority!
#16
was she in the road or the bus on the pavement?
#17
my mum went to doctor she had sicknote aswell

Seriously went to the Doctor's with a bruise and had time off work too???... pure class

That's not enough as she did not report the accident immediately. If the accident was that serious (compo) serious, the police would need to be aware as it's RTA and last time I checked I did not think you could get damages for a bruise:roll:

If my hubby gives me a bruise, i get more than compo, i get a new household appliance!!!!
#22
Where theres blame theres a claim, too much day time telly if you ask me :-D

If you do have a case it wont happen overnight, I got hit in a hit and run and took 3 years before I got any compensation, which I would have swapped for the pain to go away anyday!

OMG i cant believe you are claiming for a bruise!!!!!!!!!
over a year later!
their are people who have some serious injuries/accidents every day and they cant claim a penny and your going to claim for a bruise :x

Okay, my mum had an accident last year. The bus driver stoppedand it hit my mum on the leg. She then had a big bruise. She clearly saw the bus number and company, which was 334 west midlands. She then phoned the solicitors and they sent a letter to the west midlands company which then denied it was their company who caused the accident. Today when i phoned the solicitors they said there is not enough evidence to form a sucessful claim. My mum even had an eye witness so please can anyone help me out?
Can anyone give me a good solicitors company? and i also want to know how much claim could be.

I know its still not perfect, but its better!
