Acer Aspire One D260a wifi card?

Don't know if anyone can help. I recently upgraded Windows 7 on my Acer Aspire D260a netbook (from xp). Unfortunately, it seems windows 7 doesnt have the drivers for the wifi card and I've been trawling the net to find the model number of the card in order to install the correct driver. I've tried several drivers on different official Acer websites with no luck.

Does anyone have a D260a and could tell me the driver installed for the wifi card? (or if you just happen to know!) Thanks in anticipation!

try here http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers

From the options you'll need: AOD260 < Aspire One < Netbook

All drivers for the wlan cards (there is Atheros, Broadcom, Realtek) can be found at the bottom of the window, you'll need to scroll down for it as they are out of screen

Cheers for the pointer though I've tried those - or at least I think I have, I've tried so many! Downloading them again for 2nd attempt. I'm not entirely sure that they have my exact netbook model there, not sure if that makes any difference. I even tried putting the Serial number into the site to pinpoint my model but it said my code was invalid, hmmm...

260a was probably a store spec / model, I guess an Argos special. Does that sound right? If so the AO260 drivers should work

So from downloading the 3 drivers on offer from Acer, it installed the drivers for a Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter from one of them (the other 2 didnt find anything relevant). Problem is the installed driver doesnt work. In Network Connections it shows the card, 'disabled'. Click 'enabled' and it says it is 'enabling'... 'enabled'. But the wifi card is still greyed out and says it's still disabled. Hmmm...

Brill, thanks! Great piece of software, it found the driver but I was still having probs installing. Ended up installing the win xp driver which seems to have worked (slight glitch but bearable), cheers
