Acer laptop problem

only had it about 4 weeks ish,got it from tescos and it keeps dying on me,the screen goes black and it just shuts down,no warning nothing,its running vista basic any ideas?

not sure if tesco will take it back now and exchange it for another or not?

check the power options. Prob set to standby or set to turn off after 5 mins or something....

could well be will have a look although it seems to turn off randomly,it gets worse when you try and play any type of sound/music

Take it back, did it before with a tv 6 weeks into the warranty and they gave me a full refund.
Told them I had bought a tv elsewhere and I wasnt happy with the quality of the tv I was returning to them and didn't want another, no probs:thumbsup:

its not the power options they state never turn off display,i think theres some sort of fault with it that seems to get worse when sound is used

yup because my other lappys battery died within 2 months and i didnt want the same happening to this one so i havent used it at all

by the way it probably died that quickly because i abused it lol always left the battery in but used the mains lead so that was more than likely my own fault

dont ask me but it does (when its not crashing that is) lol its not an "inbuilt" battery it just slots in the back sort of thing

yup could be your problem ! :thumbsup:

its got the perfect symptoms , ie if the a/c adaptor cant supply enough power on its own , the laptop will just shut down because the cpu wants more power and its not there !
