  Not got a book to suggest... but I found watching tutorials on youtube the best way to learn for me.. This guy is especially good....

  oh yea. sorry.. he does acoustic and electric. You just need to sort through the videos which is which.. I have an acoustic too

  couldn't recommend this guy enough, lots of free videos on hs site or you can buy the beginners dvd course whiich consists of 4 dvd's, he's also just released a beginners songbook which is the best beginners book i've read

  Justing Guitar website is excellent. The guitar teacher at my sons school has recommended this book
  Progressive Guitar Method
  Don't know if its any good though....haven't had a chance to look at it yet. Its £8.80 from WH Smith.....
