Hi all,

Quick question. Using our computers at work, we do not have access to change the desktop wallpaper, it's just plain. However, we can use active desktop. I've uploaded a photo to Photobox, have tried to Synchronize it so the page is available offline, entered my login details also, but I keep getting the error message "Error downloading from URL".

Any ideas how to get around this? Also looked in REGEDIT, and am unable to delete the default wallpaper entry, which leads me to believe it can't be done... :(

Try uploading to a website which doesn't need a pass to log into. then simply create a HTML webpage with a img tag linking to the picture...

Make sure the pic is set to your screen res.

Dont know if it would work....

do you have access to notepad at work?

If you do create a new notepad,

Copy this in *>img src="http://www.travelblog.org/Wallpaper/pix/tb_fiji_sunset_wallpaper.jpg"<

Changing the <> directions so that it works.

Save as test.html

then try linking your active background to the file stored on the hdd, If this doesn't work and brings up errors it may need to be hosted.

If it works then let me know and ill try and get your picture hosted somewhere...

Ive been able to get it on my laptop doing the above...

but change the image source to the one you sent me.

Make sure you then set it as 'Cover Desktop'
