Hi, I have had my MSI Wind for about 3 months now and I am very happy with it running my favorite OS Mac OS X.
I was just wondering if anyone could help me with upgrading the RAM from 1gb to 2gb.
I would first like to know if it voids the warrenty in the UK if i upgrade? I know that other countries are able to do so without voiding the warrenty but i'm not sure about the UK. Or if I should ring up MSI for their permisson first?
Secondly I would like to know which RAM stick to use for best performance? Because I know that a lot of RAM sticks can't handlt a 24% overclock when others will, I need the best one to handle the overclock.
And finally the best place to purchase the RAM sick.
Thanks guys.

Upgrading the ram on the Wind does void the warranty.

I doubt the Wind's motherboard will allow you to overclock and they're probably all far faster than the Atom can take advantage of.

Just get ram that's the same speed as the onboard ram (it's bulit in to the motherboard). You can't have ram running at different speeds, so if you did want super fast ram, you'd need to install a 2gb stick and disable the onboard ram.

If you have a MSI WInd (medion/advent/whatever) with the MSI bios you can overclock.
