Don't just fall for a landline number mate. Skype allows you to buy a landline number for any part of the UK. I live in Manchester, which is 0161, but on Skype you can buy a 020, 0151, 0121 or pretty much anywhere in the UK and you wouldn't be any closer to knowing their true identity or if the address you're sending the goods to is not just an empty address they've kicked the back door in for receiving the mail on the day after you send the goods special delivery.

This scam is well known. They could receive you landline phone call sat outside a house in London using a laptop and you think you're dialling Birmingham.

Why would you send before receiving payment?
