Additions mothers day flowers - not honouring deal £23.50

If you didn't know already you may (probably) have been charged full price without warning £23.50

I know a lot of you do know but there are definatly people on here that used this and didn't

The old thread is far from the front page now

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/149265/mothers-day-bouquets-5-delivered-6-/showthread.php?t=149265&page=15

check the thread - check your account (Bank & additions) - & cancel now to avoid being over charged £18.50

If I was going to pay £23.50 for flowers I would have found something much nicer than this - I can't afford it and no notification is just plain dishonest

You dont know how they work then.

They charge full price, then refund you the discount a few days later. Its how it works with them, littlewoods, marshall ward and any other of them companies.

many people have phoned up to confirm that is what they are doing and have been told the code didn't belong to them so they wouldn't honour it

check the original post (lots of people had this)

Thats what they are supposed to do but they have told people that they wont be refunding the money as...

1. The code was not issued to them personally
2. The minimum spend was not met
3. They know that the code has been posted on forums and wont be honouring it

Its not just that some people cant afford to spend the full amount, if you can spend that amount you would want (and be able to get) a much nicer bunch of flowers!

yes, ideally that is what should happen, but we all know how it goes sometimes look at the littlewoods threads, i now only ever use a code if its something i really want and am happy to take my chances, although saying that i have never had a code refused after acceptance nor have i ever had one refused months down the ine, but tat doesnt make me stupid enough to think it hasnt happened to many

Its an automated system. I bought something from Marshall Ward a few weeks ago for free. They took £18.50 and then refunded it.

Its because of paranoid people phoning to cancel that they are not honoring the deal.

Thanks! ;-)

I received an email telling me I was not entitled to the promotional discount (even though I have not shopped with them before). I had already cancelled the order as they had not been able to confirm that the flowers would be delivered to my mum rather than my address.

Yes that is true as thats how others have done it in the past but normally they do it the same day or the day after!
But fresh flowers is not the sort of thing you can return in case they dont refund! As i have had to order 3 sets..... one for my mum, partners mum and my step mum - expensive day for us!!!

I ordered & had a confirmation email includingthe discount and that the total price would be £5 - looks OK & have had confirmation so surely they can't charge me any more?

I had my £18.50 refund then the next day they refunded £3.50 so the flowers only cost me £1.50!!!!!!!

The flowers were delivered this morning @ 8.55am and they are really nice well worth £1.50. :-)

Where does it show up that they have refunded the £18.50? Just phoned them up then and said that they would refund it so i only paid £5.00. Bet its cost them loads this but their own fault!

Had flowers, would never pay the full price! They are hardly worth it.£5 quid would be the max id pay for them anyway! Mine looked half dead!
