Is it possible?

We live in Newcastle area and are looking to Adopt a Meerkat somewhere local, so we can go and visit and show the little ones and say "this is mummy's Meerkat" etc etc

Just wondered if it was possible? I know you can Adopt for £3 a month from http://wwf.org.uk/, but this is mainly for endanged animals.

you can certainly do it at edinburgh zoo-you can adopt any animal-you even get a plaque on their enclosure with your name.

Yeah, I adopted a meerkat when I was younger! It was at London Zoo, but I'm sure you can do it at any zoo!

£7 meerkat plush toy in a box and free whipsnade zoo ticket, I think p&p makes it £8.

You could always contact whitehouse farm in Morpeth http://www.whitehousefarmcentre.co.uk/ they have Meerkats and may have some adoption/donation procedure.

Already have done, but no luck!

actually, Flamingoland is quicker to get too - thats £55 for adoption plus 2 entry tickets
Drayton Manor is £35 for Adoption plus too entry tickets during Winter
Southlakes dont have Meerkats (that would've worked!)
Whitehousefarm haven't got back to me yet
