Can't believe Sony are withholding refunds considering the Consumers Rights Act 2015 applies.

Nothing Sony does regards consumer rights should be a surprise. Terrible company at times. Same goes for Microsoft.

Microsoft adhere to the consumers rights act. Loads have had refunds from them. I dunno how Sony get away with it.

Ah... the time (just over 6 years ago) when I was happy playing Hello Games' "Joe Danger" (designed by Sean Murray)...

I pre-ordered on Steam, who have the worst customer services outside of North Korea. I would like my money back.

It is Steam/Valve refund process that is the subject of the article posted by benjammin316 in the thread description.

Steam will never refund it they do need to overhaul their customer services.
The industry as a whole needs to start advertising correctly.

That game is awesome. Wish they would've released it on physical format, it's that good.

Do you need a pocket calculator to reach that total?

Sony refused my request for a refund on the basis that they will update it in the future! they basically ignored everything else I mentioned to them.

They have said though that the outcome will cover PS4 too, well according to Eurogamer.

Specific advertising guidelines for (future) titles on different platforms; not refund policies.

They can't do that by law, they have to at least set a date.

That's game is truly the biggest waste of money I have ever wasted. I honestly found a system and planet that were discovered by someone else two days after the release date. I sent them a tweet asking them about it as 'it was never meant to happen'. Funnily enough I didn't get any reply!![/i]

Sony are ignoring the Consumers Rights Act by doing that. Report them.

Yeah I did report them to the advertising standards, unsure how to complain about consumer rights, does seem to be a direct way to do it? I will await a decision, but I suspect it wont go anywhere.

It just taught me lessons I thought id learnt and that is never pre-order software..

Just had more fun with a 10 min trial of Everspace on X1 than I did with NMS.

i have to disagree. i am enjoying No Man's Sky. Sean and the team can massively expand on this game easily with base building and all sorts of trading in space. This game has touched the surface of what can be added and lots of people have missed the point. You have to explore, improve your ship and learn.
Shame a lot of people are expecting a shoot em up and that's not what this game is about.Give it a chance and you will see what it has to really offer.

I don't think I misunderstood the game, it's just that most of it is missing. Of course they can add it but should it not have been there in the first place. Video game makers should not be able to get away with such lazy practices, would you be OK if IKEA took the same approach?
