Hi, everyone hope you all had a good New Year and Xmas. Im in a bit of situation about applying for Work Placements the thing is I have never had a proper job that doesnt mean im rich and lazy its just ive always worked with my dad who has his own business so I dont really know what makes a ideal candidate and what I would need to do to stand out from the crowd when applying for a job especially at this current period its extremely hard, im half way through my cv and should hopefully finish some point today the thing which I have no idea about is the Cover letter some people are telling me this is very important as employers read the letter first and if it sounds good they read your cv and if not they both go in the bin and you know what they say First impression is the last impression so people I really need some help on what to say in my letter and any other advice on the whole application process and any help would be much appreciated and rep would be left, I hope I didnt bore you lot.
Thanks

Don't make a cover letter too long.

Sounds simple but make sure you spellcheck and check your grammar etc and use sincerely/faithfully in the correct way.

I wish I could do that, its jus too competitve and I want to give a good first impression to have a chance for a interview cause banking is highly competitve.
