welcome any helpful advice

potential scammer on ebay

i know - silly me but whatever

sold a new media item £130

guy paid - i sent -

3 hours after he received he sent this message

"it's not plug in, and it won't switch on. As this item is obviously faulty I need to return it and request a full refund ,or a replacement in full working order if available. On the basis of my statury right of fitness for purpose, the fact that it does not work is sufficient grounds for this sale to be null and void. Please instruct on what you require me to do next.Sincerely"

i replied saying - no problem will give a full refund on return of same item i sent in original boxes - i did note serial number and registered in my name so it will be no problem getting a replacement

now - i havent heard back from him since - do i contact paypal / ebay to inform them of query

anyone - imho - who uses the word sincerely - especially on ebay is a scammer - or its me being cynical

Don't contact anyone just sit back and see what happens next, you may have scared him off with the serial info bit.

sounds like one of those people who want something for nothing, follow gregs idea.

someone bought a wii from my mum and complained for 2 weeks for him not recieving it even tho my mum tracked it to him signing for it and when my mum mentioned that he never contacted again lol.

well he did say "it's not plug in" so maybe he plugged it in and, hey presto, it works! X)
